Thank you for all the kind words about me. You are a darling friend , ever rushing to pay for all teas , coffees , and lunches , dinners. I have been saving lots of money with you around.
You and Chua are the nicest people i met in BJ . Ever so willing to include others for things that you do, which makes the world a nicer place to live. Don't worry about missing my dinner party because we are going to see each other again. I am in Dhaka , staying at the Westin Hotel. 19 days already . No complaints as I look out on the streets, people are so poor, how can I not be satisfied with all that I have? I should actually be grateful with life and learn to be more understanding.
I will not be going BJ this Dec, cos KY is not going to stopover in BJ , she will only be transiting. I will let you know if I go in mid Jan.
Dhaka is alright , I met some Bengali friends in the gym. Last night I went to the Bhutanese National day celebration, met ladies from South East Asia countries. The Malaysia High Commissioner's wife just rang me after i SMS her, what a nice lady as she is the first lady to call (Vietnam's High commissioner thought i sms him , actually i wanted to sms his wife who gave me his mobile number to call) We chatted for a while. I always think the Malaysians are nicer people compare to Singaporeans .
I also met an interesting Chinese Thai lady married to a German who lives in Dhaka for 26 years. She told me she is Chinese Hainanese, and I was so surprised. I told her I am Hainanese too, she was so happy that we started speaking our dialect . She is someone I think I can call on for all kinds of information. GOD sent her to help me . Thank GOD !!
I have been looking at apartments. Love one of it, but the landlord wants 3 years advance payment, but don't think company will allow. I try to persuade him to rent to me, will see how, keep my fingers cross.
After 19 days here with all the 'near hit just missed car rides', I do not need to go for disney exciting rides. I will enjoy the ladies here if, like you, i 'open up my arms and heart' . The Brunei lady told me when she came to Dhaka from Singapore, she cried for one month. I asked her to call me so that I will not cry. She was the first to text me lending her help and wants to bring me to her regular bengali shop so that the bengali will not cut my thoat. See the world is nice if people are nice to each other. Will keep you posted.
